This is generalized term which refers to  the many ways and means there are today to boost the immune system.

Also called biological therapy, biotherapy, or biological response modifier (BRM) therapy.

In general, the immune system declines with age and is the principle disease fighting mechanism of the body.

Most chemotherapeutic drugs will seriously damage the strength of the immune system.
